Garden & Lavanda

Eccomi qui dopo qualche settimana di pausa… In questi giorni di fine estate fa ancora molto caldo e allora mi sono finalmente decisa a fare qualche piccolo lavoretto nella parte esterna della casetta dove vivo, così da poter vivere ancora parte della giornata all’aperto. Nel retro della casa abbiamo un mini mini cortile molto stretto e poco funzionale per mangiare all’aperto. Non l’abbiamo mai utilizzato e così ho deciso di cambiarne l’aspetto. Con tanta pazienza ho eliminato tutte le erbacce, posizionato un telo apposito e poi ho ricoperto il tutto con ben 10 sacchi di sassi bianchi (non vi dico la fatica per trasportarli) e per finire ho fissato una piccola staccionata che al momento ho deciso di lasciare al naturale. Nella casa che confina con la nostra attualmente non ci abita nessuno per cui soprattutto nel pomeriggio, mi trasferisco lì e mi rilasso con un bel libro.

Here I am after a few weeks of break ... In these days of late summer is still very hot and then I finally decided to make some little chore in the outer part of the House where I live, so he can live even in the day. In the back of the House we have a mini very tight and little courtyard for dining al fresco. We never used it so I decided to change its appearance. With lots of patience I deleted all weeds, placed a tarp and then I covered the whole thing with ben 10 bags of white stones (they don't tell you the trouble to transport them) and finally I fixed a small fence that when I decided to leave it to color wood. In the House that adjoins ours at the moment, there is no one so especially in the afternoon, I move there and I relax with a good book.

Nell’altro cortile della casa ho due fioriere in legno che avevo acquistato qualche anno fa e che dovevo ridipingere da tempo perché ormai erano completamente rovinate e così le ho prima carteggiate e poi dipinte (non l'avevo mai fatto, ma sono contenta del risultato). Ho comprato delle piante perenni e le ho piantate all'interno ... dovrebbero resistere al prossimo inverno … speriamo

Another courtyard home I have two wooden planters had to redecorate because now were completely ruined and so I sanded and painted. I bought some perennials that should withstand the coming winter ... hopefully

In questi giorni c’era molto vento e il cortile era diventato un magnifico tappeto di foglie. Abbiamo un albero che d’estate fa molta ombra e accanto c'è anche un piccolo pino nano che addobbo ogni Natale.

Today was very windy and the courtyard had become a carpet of leaves. We have a tree that is ample shade during the summer and next we have even a small pine decoration at Christmas.

Ho un’amica che ha una meravigliosa pianta di lavanda e mi ha detto che potevo raccoglierne i fiori. Non me lo sono fatta ripetere due volte e con tanto di sacchetto di carta e forbici da giardiniere sono andata a casa sua e l’ho raccolta tutta!!! Ecco una parte del mio lavoro. Sicuramente la utilizzerò per dei regalini di Natale, ma ho in mente anche qualcos’altro …

I have a friend who has a wonderful Lavender plant and told me that I could pick up the flowers. I do not have made repeat twice and with a paper bag and scissors from gardener I went to his house and collection. Here's a part of my job. Surely I'll use for Christmas gifts and I think of something else ...

Adoro il profumo e il colore della lavanda e dopo essermi portata a casa il mio fantastico sacchettino pieno di fiori non ho resistito e ne ho acquistate tre piantine. Le ho piantate nella parte della casa che affaccia sulla stradina di entrata e spero tanto che in primavera mi regaleranno tanti fiori colorati e profumati.
